Whats the deal with the Lions?

The Detroit Lions have never been to a super bowl before. And how they have been playing for many years they probably won't do so well with Matt Millen as the general manager. Every year in the NFL draft the Lions will pick a decent player or one that should be very good. But now everyone thinks its like a curse to come to the lions as a rookie because every year they do awful. Calvin Johnson hasn't done that bad but they still are not where they want to be in the standings. I think every team in the NFL has a pretty good running back-except the Lions. The Lions have not been even close to winning a SuperBowl since their Championship win 50 years ago. They have made it to the playoffs only nine times since there Championship win. Only if Barry Sanders was still playing for the Lions. We would probably be at least winning 4 more games each year then we normally do. We need a true leader and a standout player for the Lions. Someone that we can count on to help win it. Make that 3 guys. Two very good offensive players and a pass stopping corner or saftey. A brick wall defense could help out our team. Most teams get their highest rushing yards against the Lions. And with Matt Millen being fired we can have some relief on our shoulders. He had a 31-84 record for the Lions. Millen is the man who picked the ultra-busts Joey Harrington, Charles Rogers, and Mike Williams. Now that hes gone we can get better picks. In this next draft, the Lions need to focus on getting out of this hole. Getting Eugene Monroe and Micheal Oher would be good picks for there offensive line if they are available. And Micheal Johnson the defensive end out of Georgia Tech would also be a great pick. But all of this will take a few years of solid drafting to get rid of all of the destruction caused by Matt Millen.
